The project supports MTA NYCT’s efforts to modernize vertical transportation infrastructure by replacing 19 elevators across 11 stations and 6 escalators at 2 stations under two separate construction packages in Manhattan and Queens, NY.

Portal North Bridge Replacement

This project replaces the existing movable bridge, built in 1910, over the Hackensack River with a high-level fixed-span tied-arch bridge, eliminating marine-related rail service interruptions.

Hudson Tunnel

The Project is a major infrastructure initiative that will improve rail capacity and resiliency between New Jersey and New York by constructing a two new rail tunnels under the Hudson River and rehabilitating the existing, storm-damaged North River Tunnels.
