Founded in 2017, SC Engineers (SCE) is a program management and engineering firm that has grown into a trusted partner in the Transportation and Infrastructure markets. In just a few years, our team has expanded into multiple states, delivering expertise in planning, design, inspection, construction, and program management.

Our staff include licensed professional engineers and a team of experienced construction managers who have led some of the region’s most complex, multi-million-dollar projects. Bridge/Tunnel Inspection Service

SC Engineers (SCE) provides full-scope inspection and assessment services for critical bridge and tunnel infrastructure, including biennial, in-depth, condition, and design-phase inspections. Our team of National Highway Institute (NHI)–certified professionals combine rigorous technical training with real-world field experience to evaluate structural and MEP systems with precision and consistency. We proactively identify critical flag conditions before they develop into safety hazards, operational disruptions, or expensive emergency interventions.

Progress Update: East River Tunnel Rehabilitation

Amtrak’s East River Tunnel Rehabilitation Project is progressing on schedule, with steady advances since the first long-term tunnel outage began earlier this year. As part of the construction management team, SCE has overseen completion of the decommissioning phase, which included removing existing tracks, power, and signal systems, while also installing temporary lighting and ventilation to support a safe work environment. The project has now moved into demolition work, focusing on the removal of ballast, track, and the concrete bench walls that provide access to key tunnel systems.
