Seif Chowdhury, P.E.

President

Seif Chowdhury, P.E. is the President of SC Engineers PC, which he has founded in New York City in 2017. Prior to establishing the firm, Seif has held design and construction management roles in the private sector, and management roles within Amtrak and MTA. He has served in many capacities including tunnel field inspector/engineer for the $11B MTA East Side Access project; project manager for the MTA Canarsie Tube (L-Train) Rehabilitation; project engineer for MTA Bridge and Tunnels; and as Amtrak’s principal engineer for the $30B Gateway Program which consisted of multi-billion-dollar rail infrastructure projects along the Northeast Corridor (NEC) such as the Hudson Tunnel Project, Harrison 4th Track, Portal Bridge Replacement, Sawtooth Bridge Replacement, and Penn Station Expansion.

Seif’s experience includes leading design and PMC teams, stakeholder engagement, DOT and FRA coordination, and program management of large-scale rail and bridge infrastructure projects from project initiation to close-out.

Mr. Chowdhury serves as the Project Executive on many of SC Engineers’ projects and is responsible for overall corporate quality assurance, client satisfaction, marketing, business development and financial management of the firm. Mr. Chowdhury is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of New York, Licensed Construction Superintendent with NYC Department of Buildings, and holds a BS in Civil Engineering from New York University (Former Polytechnic University).

Reyes Flete, P.E.

Director - Fire Protection Engineering

Reyes Flete, P.E. is the Director of Fire Protection Engineering at SC Engineers PC and leads all fire protection design and consulting services. He has over a decade of experience in government, transportation, aviation, and high-rise markets. His expertise includes sprinkler/standpipe systems, clean agent systems, smoke management systems, and life safety systems.

Mr. Flete serves as the Fire Protection Lead Designer, Project Manager, and Code Compliance subject matter expert on many of SC Engineers’ projects. ‘Mr. Flete holds M.S. in Construction Administration from Columbia University, a Graduate Certificate in Fire Protection from WPI, and dual B.S. degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon University.
